A VM offers an environment isolated from the rest of a device and so anything running on the host hardware will not interfere. Since VMs are isolated, they are a good way to test or build a development environment for new applications. Even, to support a specific process, you can run a single VM.
Stepwise procedure to install a virtual machine on macOS
Step 1: Open Google and write download virtual machine.
Step 2: Click on the first website displaying on your screen.
Note: You can directly go to the link provided below to download the Oracle VM VirtualBox.
Step 3: Click on the ‘OS X hosts version’.
Step 4: Click on “Allow”. Virtual Box will start downloading.
Step 5: Double click ‘VirtualBox-6.1.12–139181-OSX.dmg’.
Step 6: Open ‘VirtualBox.pkg’.
Step 7: Click on ‘Continue’.
Step 8: Again, click on ‘Continue’.
Step 9: Click on ‘Install’.
Step 10: Enter your mac password to install.
Step 11: Check if the installation has been successful.
